What has influenced me?
This may seem funny, but lately I have been watching a TV show called Supernanny. This show really has influenced me a lot. I want to be a good mom more then anything right now and I need all the help I can get.
The nanny's name is Jo. She teaches the parents how to talk to their kids in a non threatening way but in a way the children will listen too. She also teaches them different effective ways to discipline your children that really seem to work if you stick to them.
Discipline and respect is something that I want my child to know because it will teach her to be respectful to others and act well in every situation.
She shares techniques about good family dinners, ways to get your children to like school, ways to get your children to have a set bed time schedule and also ways to have fun family time without it being hectic and out of control.
This is a show I would recommend anyone with children or who plans to have any in the future to take a look at this show.
I used to watch Super-nanny. I thought the show was cancel or the nanny quit or something. Oh well. lol

I've never watched super nanny. It sounds like a really cool show. It is always good to get tips for when I start a family. I can see how it would influence you!

ReplyDeleteI love Supernanny! Jo is awesome and does such a great job helping the parents and their kids live a much more controlled and manageable lifestyle. Some of the kids on the show are crazy insane and I really don't want my kids to be like that! However, Jo points out that many kids that do act crazy and out of control is because the parents have not raised them right. They let the kids get away with things early on so the kids start to take advantage of the parents. Even though we may not think so, kids are extremely manipulative and if you don't have a parent that is ready to take on the challenge of being the boss, the kids will become crazy and out of control like the ones on TV!
