Belly Laughs and Emotional Highs of Pregnancy
I have recently read a really funny book by Jenny McCarthy called Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth about Pregnancy and Child Birth.
This book was filled with information but not in a way that would bore you. She was very open and honest and if you know anything about her, it was hilarious!! She goes through the book explaining her first pregnancy and what she went through. She explains the good, the bag, and really the UGLY about her pregnancy.
In the book she said the monster would come out of her, meaning her pregnancy hormones would lose control and she would get angry or super emotional, especially towards her husband. Here lately, I can definitely relate to this!
I had a really emotional and really stupid break down the other day! My boyfriend wanted to stop at the gas station to get a soda and I had said I didn't want one at the time. He went in the gas station locking me in my car, which I didn't know he had done. I tried to open the door to pour out a water and my alarm started to go off. Everyone stared at me and I was completely embarrassed!! He came out of the store and turned it off and was holding 2 huge sodas! I for some reason got upset he bought me one, LOL so stupid, I know. He gave me this soda and it was dripping one me, I started to get upset about that, then he went over a bump leaving the gas station and the lid popped off and dumped all over my lap, that's when I started to cry, and I mean really cry and laugh all at the same time. I couldn't control it or stop crying. After I settled down, I couldn't help but to laugh at myself. I've had quite a few of episodes like this since then :(
Another part of this book that I loved was when she explained the feeling of your baby moving around, which I have gotten to feel the past week. It is an amazing feeling and now this pregnancy is feeling even more real. My belly moves a lot and I feel all different kinds of flutters and kicks. Its something you don't understand until you go through it.
So for anyone that is having a child or plans to have one later on you should really read this book!! It really is funny and you will relate to it for sure!!
I have always thought that Jenny McCarthy had a very funny side to her personality, your comments support that. This was a very good post and I appreciate your recommendation.
