working as a waitress can be stressful!

In need of a change of scenery!

Ive been working in customer service since the day I turned sixteen.  I have had the same job which is a waitress at Denny's for almost 5 years now.

Working in customer service everyday can be challenging, especially dealing with others food!  I feel like I'm getting burnt out on waiting tables because people have grown to be more impatient and more needy.  It could be me holding grudges on the way some customers treat me.  I don't think people realize the attitudes they have towards me sometimes, which make my attitude just as bad as theirs.  The longer I do this job, the harder it is for me to act really friendly to people that are completely rude to me.  There are things that drive me totally crazy and other waiters/waitresses that work with me as well for example, not tipping your server when we have done a really good job and it makes us even more mad when the table were super friendly and talked to us like they enjoyed our service, or when they stand up at the door and put all their money in the toy claw machine.  Servers do not make a normal 8 or 9 dollar an hour wage, its way lower then that, so we survive off of our tips.

Don't get me wrong.  It isn't all bad.  I have many customers that I love and enjoy seeing everyday and customers that are really friendly and patient.  These people are what make my job easy and enjoyable.  The more patient they are with me, the quicker I will do things for them compared to yelling and being impatient, I have started to take my time which I know is wrong but being rude will get you nowhere.  I am really good at my job and I am a patient and happy person.  I know I will always be in customer service, or at least working with others all of my life, which I'm okay with.
I can't wait to graduate from college and get a job where I know how much I'm going to make instead of going in and not knowing.  A steady paycheck is something that I look forward to having.

4 Months Pregnant!

I am four months pregnant today and it has already been an interesting 4 months!
I had my 4 month check up yesterday and everything was great.  We finally got to hear our baby's heart beat.  Its crazy how much faster a baby's heartbeat is compared to an adult.

In this last month, we have moved into a new house and are finally settled in.  On March 9th, I get to find out the sex of the baby!  This is one thing I have been looking forward to for a while now.  I really want to start decorating my nursery instead of walking by an empty room everyday.

I have been considering waiting and being surprised about what I'm having, but the anticipation is killing me! I don't know how anybody could be surprised, especially with their first child!

Only 4 months, never met my child, but I am already in love with my little peanut!

Top 5 Foods

So food has been pretty different for me lately, especially since I've been pregnant!!

There are things that I just can't get enough of lately, one being Flaming hot lays potato chips with cheese sauce.  Lol, very odd but I crave them all the time!

The second thing I've been craving are chicken salads withs apples and ranch dressing.  I feel like I could eat salad for every single meal lately.

Spaghetti is something that I eat at least every week, even before I was pregnant.  I'm really picky with red sauce and how spaghetti is made but it is one of my favorite foods.

Like any other person, I love pizza. Pepperoni is my favorite. I have to have ranch with  my pizza, its just not the same without it.  I really put ranch on most things I eat. lol  I try to eat healthy, but not as much as I really should.  Pizza is definitely not the way to go, but I like it.

For breakfast foods, I like egg white omelets with peppers, cheese, and turkey bacon with a side of fruit or if I feel like I want something sweet and unhealthy in the morning, I like pancakes with peanut butter and syrup, and if you haven't tried that, you really should because it is delicious!

My appetite has definitely been different lately and its hard to eat the foods I really should eat because they just don't taste the same or appeal to me as much as they used too.

I would think being pregnant, I would crave super weird things but for now I haven't.  I mean sometimes I do want pickles or something sour.  I never crave anything sweet even though before I was pregnant I loved sweets.  From what I've read, you crave what your body needs and in some ways I can see that but when I crave potato chips, I don't think I need anything from those. lol Its definitely been a weird 4 months.
